United Nations Development Program

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is an executive board within the United Nations founded in 1965. The UNDP works with local governments to meet development challenges and develop local economies through providing expert advice, training, and grant support to developing countries, with increasing emphasis on assistance to the least developed countries.

UNDP focuses on poverty reduction, HIV/AIDS, democratic governance, energy and environment, social development, crisis prevention and recovery, and protection of human rights as well as empowerment of women in all of its programs. The UNDP publishes an annual Human Development Report to measure and analyze developmental progresses across countries.
