Building permits in Spain, December, 2019
The data series span the period from January 2000 to December 2019.
During that time, the average value for Spain was
6779 building permits with a minumum of 903 building permits
in August 2014 and a maximum of 24160 building permits in October 2006.
The latest number is 1312, a change of -9.83% from the previous data point of
1455 building permits and a change of -43.2% from a year ago when the level was
2310 building permits.
The number of building permits is considered a leading macroeconomic indicator as it typically grows a few months ahead of an economic expansion and declines a few months before an economic slowdown.
