Romania: Arable land, percent of total land area: For that indicator, The World Bank provides data for Romania from 1961 to 2016. The average value for Romania during that period was 41.2 percent with a minumum of 37.3 percent in 2016 and a maximum of 43.9 percent in 1988. Definition: Arable land includes land defined by the FAO as land under temporary crops (double-cropped areas are counted once), temporary meadows for mowing or for pasture, land under market or kitchen gardens, and land temporarily fallow. Land abandoned as a result of shifting cultivation is excluded.
