Building permits in Qatar, January, 2020
The data series span the period from 2016 to 2020.
During that time, the average value for Qatar was
292 building permits with a minumum of 162 building permits
in June 2018 and a maximum of 427 building permits in October 2019.
The latest number is 286, a change of 16.26% from the previous data point of
246 building permits and a change of -11.73% from a year ago when the level was
324 building permits.
The number of building permits is considered a leading macroeconomic indicator as it typically grows a few months ahead of an economic expansion and declines a few months before an economic slowdown.
