Building permits in Portugal, November, 2020
The data series span the period from January 2007 to November 2020.
During that time, the average value for Portugal was
2028 building permits with a minumum of 1051 building permits
in August 2015 and a maximum of 4835 building permits in January 2007.
The latest number is 1867, a change of -12.68% from the previous data point of
2138 building permits and a change of 3.72% from a year ago when the level was
1800 building permits.
The number of building permits is considered a leading macroeconomic indicator as it typically grows a few months ahead of an economic expansion and declines a few months before an economic slowdown.
