Building permits in the Netherlands, March, 2020
The data series span the period from January 2012 to March 2020.
During that time, the average value for the Netherlands was
1186 building permits with a minumum of 687 building permits
in December 2012 and a maximum of 1750 building permits in July 2017.
The latest number is 1648, a change of 20.73% from the previous data point of
1365 building permits and a change of 16.3% from a year ago when the level was
1417 building permits.
The number of building permits is considered a leading macroeconomic indicator as it typically grows a few months ahead of an economic expansion and declines a few months before an economic slowdown.
