Building permits in Hungary, January, 2020
The data series span the period from January 1998 to January 2020.
During that time, the average value for Hungary was
1300 building permits with a minumum of 242 building permits
in January 2013 and a maximum of 3062 building permits in December 2000.
The latest number is 735, a change of -40.53% from the previous data point of
1236 building permits and a change of -25.83% from a year ago when the level was
991 building permits.
The number of building permits is considered a leading macroeconomic indicator as it typically grows a few months ahead of an economic expansion and declines a few months before an economic slowdown.
