Building permits in Hong Kong, March, 2020
The data series span the period from February 2003 to March 2020.
During that time, the average value for Hong Kong was
41 building permits with a minumum of 13 building permits
in February 2020 and a maximum of 71 building permits in July 2003.
The latest number is 42, a change of 223.08% from the previous data point of
13 building permits and a change of 20% from a year ago when the level was
35 building permits.
The number of building permits is considered a leading macroeconomic indicator as it typically grows a few months ahead of an economic expansion and declines a few months before an economic slowdown.
