Building permits in Cyprus, January 2002 - June 2021
The data series span the period from January 2002 to June 2021.
During that time, the average value for Cyprus was
891 building permits with a minumum of 147 building permits
in April 2015 and a maximum of 2252 building permits in November 2008.
The latest number is 998, a change of -5.94% from the previous data point of
1061 building permits and a change of 2.25% from a year ago when the level was
976 building permits.
The number of building permits is considered a leading macroeconomic indicator as it typically grows a few months ahead of an economic expansion and declines a few months before an economic slowdown.
