The average for 2013 was 14.53 percent. The highest value was in Bangladesh: 59 percent and the lowest value was in Oman: 0.1 percent. Below is a chart for all countries where data are available for: Arable land, percent of land area.


World bank definition: Arable land includes land defined by the FAO as land under temporary crops (double-cropped areas are counted once), temporary meadows for mowing or for pasture, land under market or kitchen gardens, and land temporarily fallow. Land abandoned as a result of shifting cultivation is excluded.
