Examples of activities that are included in the current account are the following:

The expenditures on items such as rail passes and hotel accommodation of a domestic student in a foreign country.

Interest payments made to U.K. resident on a German treasure bill that he or she holds.

The import of Hyundai cars by U.S. residents from South Korea.
